After months of discussion and weeks of anticipated planning, we are thrilled to share our new and improved WOW website with our ambassadors, members and communities!
In 24 hours, Amanda surprised us all and released the new WOW website!
We said the same thing,
“WOW!”
In August of 2015, after following much of her work, WOW invited Amanda Bernardo to join the Board of Directors as Director of Branding and Public Relations! From the first day we met Amanda, we knew she would be the perfect person to not only assist us in our re-branding efforts but also the perfect person to assist our members with improving their own brand, communications and public outreach efforts.
From day one, Amanda has always been on board to help the WOW network. She initially joined as an Ambassador but was eager to accomplish more! Her enthusiasm, drive and expertise brought a fresh spin to our growing network that we simply could not pass up!
“It’s very rare to meet a group that actually acts upon its philosophy, that is women helping women. I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of this network and was thrilled when the opportunity to become the Director of Branding and Public Relations was offered to me. For awhile now, the Board of Directors and I had been discussing the changes needed to WOW’s online presence in order to provide not only a mini makeover but also a functional platform that would better suit our members and ever-growing platform! Like many other women in this network, I work full-time and also run a small business on the side, the Little Voice children’s book; it was hard to find the necessary time to invest in the work I knew needed to be done. Thankfully the rush of summer is now over and I am really excited with the initial launch and the plans we have ahead! This is definitely phase one of many and there will be much more to come!” – Amanda Bernardo
WOW would also like to extend their thanks to Samantha Clusiau-Lawlor, one of our very own Ottawa Ambassadors, for working with Amanda to provide our new online logo design and cityscape graphics.
“Samantha is definitely my right-hand girl. People always joke that we look like sisters and I think it’s because in the last two years we’ve been pretty inseparable. Samantha is not only my partner in Little Voice, but also my designer for all branding projects. There is no one else I’d rather work with than her, especially when it comes to finding someone who can take my ideas and always exceed my expectations.” – Amanda
As Amanda mentioned, there is still a lot of work to be done. Amanda will slowly be working with our Ambassadors, who have not yet submitted their info, to be added to our website, as well as adding any and all city specific events, and much much more!
